Number of cars sold in the world from 1990 to 2017
- The amount of cars sold doubled from about 39 millions in 1990 to about 77 millions in 2017.

The graph represent the global cars sold worldwide from 1990 to 2016. Additionally, the graph presents the forecast for 2017. The industry is expected to sell around 77.3 millions cars by the end of the year.
But in the last year the amount of cars sold stayed the same from 2015 to 2016 and remained stable between 2014 and 2015. The headquarters are very concerned and tries to find new markets to increase the demand in its manufacture companies. For that reason, the Asian and India markets are today a target to reach and raise the cars sold.
Nevertheless, to keep the increase expected the headquarters need to invest its business not only in China and India, but also in the other emerging markets. Latin america is a potential market to try increase sales. Countries such a Brazil and Argentina have the capacity to manufacture big numbers of cars per year.
With these movements is expected that the sale of cars worldwide will raise their numbers again and it will increase in 20 millions in 2018.
